Wittenborg Online News!
The Importance of Student Information.
The Hogeschool Wittenborg, University of Professional Education, prides itself in that its student information provision is one of the best at HBO’s of its kind, in the Netherlands.
The information provided is in line with the strict quality control measures set down by the Dutch Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice (immigration department, the IND), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the organisation for the promotion of Dutch higher education abroad, the Nuffic. The Dutch Higher Education institutes will be legally bound to these quality assurance demands, in a forthcoming, self regulatory, protocol.
The protocol will have far reaching impact on the way in which Dutch educators recruit foreign students. Changes at Wittenborg will be minimal, as Wittenborg’s quality control is already at a level described in the protocol. In advance of the protocol, it has been decided to divide the student guide into three, smaller and more transparent booklets:
The Education Guide contains all the information a student requires to understand the way in which their courses are constructed, and how these are to be followed (planning). It gives all necessary information about the education at Wittenborg.
The Student Charter is the document which covers the agreement and understanding between Wittenborg and its students, outlining what Wittenborg expects of its students, and what the students can expect of Wittenborg, on all issues concerning life at the University.
The Student Information Guide handles practical information about the Wittenborg Campus, the City of Deventer and life in the Netherlands.
