Dr Munir Moosa Sadruddin, hailing from Karachi, Pakistan, has made a
name for himself internationally as a pioneer of human rights education.
Recently, he delivered a lecture to Wittenborg students on his the
socioecoethical model to foster positive values for sustainable
practices. He created his lecture to convey his model as well as the
importance of human rights education. “Students will acquire knowledge
about human rights education, including its development and
significance. They will also become familiar with the socioecoethical
model of human rights education and its application,” he explains.
He
has an incredible background in the topic, with a PhD in Education,
specialising in Human Rights Education, and serving as Assistant
Professor of Education at SMI University in Pakistan. Sadruddin has
produced important research, and is active within the education
industry.
“Throughout my career, I have gained extensive
experience in teaching and conducting research,” he explains.
“Additionally, I proudly hold the position of Volunteer Founder Director
at the Global Forum for Teacher Educators,” he says. In this role, he
works to promote inclusive, human-rights-centred education for
underprivileged communities, including children, youth, women and
individuals from diverse backgrounds. “I have had the privilege of
delivering over 500 guest lectures worldwide on various topics, catering
to diverse audiences.”
Across his career, which has centred on
humanitarianism and ethics, he has managed to achieve feats and
milestones which most can only dream of. He has two top achievements
which he is most proud of. Number one? “I have provided free online
education to over half a million teachers globally through webinars,
symposiums and conferences via my forum.” His second proudest
achievement? Devising breakthrough models for human rights education.
“I
have proposed several innovative models to the world, including but not
limited to Munir’s socioethical model of human rights education,
Munir’s model of teachers’ identity exploration, ESteam Education,
Munir’s socioethical model of inclusivity, Munir’s minimal intelligence
theory and Munir’s Chameleon model of leadership.”
Wittenborg
is always privileged to host lecturers such as Dr Sadruddin, who serve
as such prestigious examples of how centering on ethics and societal
impact can propel one to success. By following his passion for ethics,
education and the empowerment of others, he has been able to produce
vital research and education models which have been proven to benefit
the international community.
