IQAinAR Consortium Hosts Internal Quality Assurance Conference in Spain
Supporting the enhancement and development of quality assurance in higher education
From 13-17 November 2023, Wittenborg’s Research Centre and EDQM (Education Development and Quality Management) department alongside other members of the "Enhancement of internal quality assurance of education in teaching, learning and assessment in higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and Russia'' (IQAinAR) project consortium from the Netherlands (456 International BV) and Azerbaijan (Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Nakchivan State University, Azerbaijan Technical University and the National Agency on Quality Assurance in Higher Education) will participate in a study visit to Murcia, Spain. This study visit will be hosted by Spanish project partner Fundacion Universitaria San Antonio (UCAM) and will focus on IQA policy, indicators and practices developed at an institutional level.
On the first official day of the visit, there will be a conference open to external stakeholders and actors in education quality, as well as actively involved students, teachers and labour market representatives. Guest speakers participating in the conference opening ceremony include Pablo Blesa Aledo (Vice Rector of International Relations and Communication and Dean of Social Sciences and Communication at UCAM), Maggie Feng (Wittenborg CEO) and Katrin Schuette (Lecturer, Researcher and Faculty Coordinator for Internationalisation, UCAM).
During the conference, UCAM Popular TV will interview some of the project partners, including Wittenborg’s Maggie Feng, Gunay Maharramova (Head of ASPU International Relations Department, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University), Fariz Mammadov (Vice Rector for International Relations, Azerbaijan Technical University) and Natalia Lekareva (456 International BV) about the IQAinAR project, its aims and achievements so far and the extent of its future impact on internal quality assurance processes in higher education in Azerbaijan.
On the Wednesday of the study visit, Sebastián Reverte Fernández (Coordinator of the Quality Assurance Committee at UCAM) will also be giving a guest lecture to the IQAinAR project consortium.
