Wittenborg Starts Partnership with OpenResearch.Amsterdam
School Joins Prestigious Knowledge Network Platform
Wittenborg has recently partnered with OpenResearch.Amsterdam, a renowned knowledge platform dedicated to sharing and promoting research connected to the city of Amsterdam. This partnership provides Wittenborg access to a robust network of resources, including valuable data, research works and opportunities for collaboration. Through its webpage on the platform, the school will showcase research related to Amsterdam and the field of City Science, fostering greater visibility and exchange within the academic community.
This collaboration was made possible by Wittenborg’s Research Centre, with Professor Ad Kil, Vice President of Applied Research, serving as the school’s editor on OpenResearch.Amsterdam. Kil highlights that the platform welcomes both research collaborations and contributions from students, including their theses.
He adds that Wittenborg was invited to join OpenResearch.Amsterdam by the initiative’s director, Professor Caroline Nevejan, Chief Science Officer for the City of Amsterdam and Professor of Designing Urban Experience at the University of Amsterdam.
“Professor Nevejan finds Wittenborg and its Amsterdam branch particularly beneficial for the city. She sees the school as an example of international education and a steppingstone for talent, making it a natural partner for OpenResearch.Amsterdam,” Kil says. “We are very pleased to join this important research network and excited about the opportunity to collaborate with relevant partners. Moreover, we highly value OpenResearch.Amsterdam’s promotion of knowledge that contributes to the implementation of policies for the city of Amsterdam.”
