Higher Fees: Not for Wittenborg Students!
Higher Study Fees for Foreign Students in the Netherlands! Wittenborg Students Not Affected!
Currently the newspapers and education journals of various Hogescholen and Universities are full of reports about the present round of government cuts, which include the withdrawal of state subsidies for non-EU students. The consequence of these cuts is that the state funded institutions will not receive the aprox €5000- per student, per year, lump sum and will need to increase their fees accordingly. This means that students at state funded Universities, such as our neighbours Saxion and Larenstein, will most likely be forced to fork out more than €6500 per year for their Bachelor studies, and even more for Masters studies.
The government will introduce a special grant for Top Students, although this will not cover the majority of current numbers.
Wittenborg fees will not be affected, as Wittenborg receives no state funding.
