Wittenborg University's Honorary Lector, Fred de Graaf - President of the Senate - opened and closed the inauguration ceremony, that took place in the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.
The directors of the Dutch Wittenborg University, based in Apeldoorn, Peter Birdsall (British / Swiss) and Maggie Feng (Chinese) spent the inauguration day in Beijing, where they are visiting partners, and were present at a special 'Coronation Gala' hosted by the Dutch Embassy in China.
'I believe that having a modern monarchy that thinks with the times and is able to influence society, within the realms of its function, is excellent.' says Peter. Maggie adds 'Maxima of course becomes a model for all of us foreigners who learn Dutch, integrate, and embrace Nederland!'
