Report from Shanghai!
Wittenborg University Students on a Project Week in Shanghai -Update: Day 3 - The morning started with a meeting at 08:30 at the lobby of the hotel where we waited for the bus to bring us to the Shanghai Business School. We had a little bit of traffic so we arrived 30 minutes later than planned. At the school we were officially welcomed. A student and 2 teachers gave a presentation about the suburb campus of SBS (Shanghai Business School).
After the presentation we walked around the campus and played some basketball. Before we went to the canteen, that had to offer some interesting foods, we went to the library that is almost the same size as the Aventus building.
After lunch we found out that everyone at Wittenborg should be really happy with their housing because what we saw was a big shock for us. They live with 4 students in a room smaller than one Spacebox and have to share their toilet and shower with 14 students.
Later in the afternoon we had an interesting class about supply chain and logistics. During our time at SBS we visited the basketball fields, football field, tennis courts, the lab, canteen and an auditorium. SBS is really huge and has great technology utilities compared to other schools.
After the school visit, we asked our bus driver if he could bring us to the 'fake market' which are several shops in a big building where you negotiate with the local people about the price of their fake products. We came back with some nice and funny items, we got some watches, dresses, tea sets, a kite and many more. After the visit to the fake market we took the Subway to our hotel to drop off our stuff and made our way to the restaurant for some delicious typical Chinese food! We decided that a good end of our day which was already full of fun and interesting activities to go to a nearby karaoke bar, where we got a separate room with our own karaoke machine And all kinds of nice drinks. As usual we ended a good day with a nice game of cards with the group!
