The hospitality industry has plenty of internships and jobs to offer, but it is not always easy for students and graduates to access these career opportunities.
Which is why Wittenborg University has teamed up with the world’s leading hospitality network, HOSCO. This innovative online community connects hospitality students and graduates with employers worldwide – all on a single platform. You can join here for free.
Wittenborg students would also have received an email in their inbox recently informing them of the tool.
After completing their profile, students and graduates automatically become visible to employers. They also have access to detailed profiles of all companies registered with HOSCO - at the last count, almost 1 150! These organisations specialize in a wide range of services – from accommodation to food, travel, leisure and entertainment. They also range in scale from huge hotel groups - like the Hilton, Marriot, Radisson Blu and even Disneyland Paris - to small, independent businesses.
In addition, students can identify and connect with other HOSCO members who have worked or are currently working in a specific company to obtain valuable advice and recommendations about the company.
Students manage and follow their applications in real time and are automatically informed if they are not shortlisted for a job so they can adjust their search options accordingly. Employers, on the other hand, can post their vacancies and have up-to-date information about applicants’ availability for a job as this is part of the student or graduate’s profile.
Furthermore, students are also constantly kept up to date with information on new trends in the industry as well as valuable insights, news and advice. They can also connect with students and alumni from other participating hospitality schools to network or, for instance, find accommodation, sell or buy stuff or simply to get tips.
